Blended whisky (US)

In the United States, a mixture containing at least 20% straight whisky on a proof-gallon basis, combined with whisky and/or neutral spirits — meaning up to 80% may be neutral spirit.

Often confused with Blended Scotch Whisky
The same word means opposite things. Blended Scotch is malt whisky combined with grain whisky, both of which are Scotch. US blended whisky is whisky diluted with neutral spirit.
