What a whisky cask actually costs to own each year
Storage including insurance runs about £36–£65 per cask per year, VAT-free while in bond. Duty is £33.99 per litre of pure alcohol on withdrawal. Sourced from HMRC and published operator tariffs, with the gaps named.
