Recent changes worth knowing
A £13m mashhouse upgrade meant NO whisky was made from April 2024 until reopening in 2025, and the twelve wooden washbacks were replaced with stainless steel fitted with cooling jackets. That is the most consequential recent change to any distillery's kit in our dataset, and almost no reference source reflects it yet. Note also that Highland Park's coke and peat are KILN fuels for drying malt, not still fuels — and the coke has now been eliminated entirely.
